PART TIME COOK

We are looking to recruit a part-time Cook to join our Team.  Salary £11,440 per annum for a 25 hour week (FTE £18,304 per annum).

Glebe House, which is a part of Friends Therapeutic Community Trust, is a residential service for up to 16 teenage males who stay with us on a two year programme of integrated care, therapy and education.  We are a registered, not-for-profit, Charity.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the household and catering processes for the Community and establishing an ethos that links food as a therapeutic tool.

Reporting to our Head Cook, you will liaise with our Gardener who grows food within the Community to ensure that resources are used by the Community when cooking.

You will ensure that the kitchen hygiene routines meet and exceed the required standards and make sure that adequate records are kept relating the menus and the catering process.

This is a permanent part- time post, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 1.30 pm.

The right candidate will have:

• A basic hygiene certificate.
• Ideally experience of catering for young people, eg in a school environment or similar
• Experience of planning meals and working to a budget
