Senior Project Accountant
Would you thrive in a varied and diverse finance role working on some of the most advanced engineering projects in the UK? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Project Accountant at our site in Frimley.
This role supports the multi-million pound programme currently delivering 2 first of class aircraft carriers for the Royal Navy in one of the largest engineering projects to be undertaken in the UK.
As a Senior Project Accountant, you will sit within a small, dynamic team and be tasked with working alongside and assisting the finance manager with the financial management and control on programmes including the Aircraft Carriers Queen Elizabeth & Prince of Wales and the Mine Warfare programme. You will work with the delivery and management team, providing high quality financial support and advice to ensure successful contract execution and delivery of IBP targets.
This role will provide you with the opportunity of building a fantastic stakeholder network and offer great levels of exposure to the business helping support on-going development within BAE Systems.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Project Accountant will involve:
Providing project accounting support, challenging and advising to the QEC and Mine Warfare project teams through active engagement and day to day advice to the teams
Ensuring compliance with all elements of Combat Systems processes and application of BAE Systems Finance Policies and Financial Controls
Assisting in the production of robust EAC and forecast updates, also completion of all weekly and monthly forecasting as required
Analysing, reviewing, challenging and advising on performance data; ensuring data integrity between the various systems
Maintaining and reviewing the Mine Warfare project CSR's and SSR's including inputting relevant comments to aid management understanding of movements and variances
Working with the project teams and others to ensure all deliverables for the IBP are achieved
Your skills and qualifications:
Qualified accountant desirable, qualified by experience of similar large scale projects can also be considered
Experience of large scale project accounting
Competent ERP user (SAP or similar system)
Ability to manipulate and present data for a broad range of end users

Location: Frimley
Salary: GBP42,000 + ( depending on experience)
