SUPPLIER MANAGER - RISK AND COMPLIANCE - PROCUREMENT TEAM - GLOBAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES COMPANY - East Sussex / London - GBP55,000 - GBP60,000 + PACKAGE

This Fortune 500 Company is a leading professional services provider, renowned for their innovation and delivery. They are looking for someone from a risk and audit background with procurement experience to come on board to the global team and help maintain ethical and environmental standard for suppliers across the globe.

What will the role entail?

Working as part of the procurement function you will spear head quality and risk management for global suppliers across the EMEA remit. Looking at everything from environmental status to ethical standing you will decide and influence stakeholders on whether their preferred suppliers are within the standards required to represent their global brand. Working with the procurement team, you will educate the purchasing function on how to assess these values, whilst simultaneously working with the senior stakeholders to educate them and influence their decisions on the suppliers they choose to select on a global basis.

What skills and knowledge are required?

• A background in Quality or Auditing would be highly advantageous with ideally knowledge across the following standards;

• TL 9000
• ISO 9001
• OHSAS 18001
• ISO14040

• The gravitas, confidence and communication style to influence stakeholders and help them to avoid risk
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing, production or electronics industry
• The ability and experience to run corrective actions in order to sustain compliance across suppliers and avoid international risk
• Prior experience working in a procurement function and dealing with suppliers on an international basis
