We are looking for an experience support worker in the Chester area to support a man who is very sociable and likes to go out and about into the community and also enjoys swimming.

The gentleman has a 2-2-1 care plan and sometimes he can become anxious and present challenging behaviour, so we are looking for people who have lots of patience and experience working with challenging behaviours. He is non verbal so experience working with people who are non verbal is essential.

If you have an NVQ or QCF in Health and Social Care that would be great however it's not essential as experience working with people with Learning disabilities or Mental Health illness or challenging behaviour is the key to being successful in this role.

The location of this role is commutable on public transport however the man who you will support has a car which you may need to drive to take him out and about into the community if you work days. Even though the majority of the night support will be at his home there could be occasions when you need to drive his car, so a driver's license is essential for the days and nights positions

Nights are 30 hous per week and shifts are usually 10pm-7am and Days are 37 hours per week plus sleep ins and shifts are usually 7am-11pm plus sleep ins however this requires flexibility on occasions. Sometimes assistance will be needed with personal care.

The role pays between £8-£8 per hour depending experience and qualifications and is a permanent role.

If you live in or around Chester and meet the criteria then please call me today to find out more and apply as the gentleman is waiting to move into his new home and we need to find the right people to provide the support he needs. Call Toni on 0151706070 to find out more.

1st stage interviews taing place week commencing 12th February and 2nd stage interviews taking place Thursday 15th and Thursday 22nd February.
