New opportunity not to be missed! DCS Group has an exciting opportunity available for a National Account Manager - Wholesale to join the team based in Banbury. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 – £35,000 per annum + 20% bonus and company car.

Location: Banbury

The National Account Manager main job purpose: 

- To deliver and exceed against DCS sales and margin targets

- To build and deliver against volume and value forecast by supplier, by customer

- To manage and own customer terms conversations and agreements on behalf of DCS’ suppliers

- To deliver  supplier objectives in line with customer & DCS Joint Business Plans (JBPs)

- To build successful relationships with new and existing DCS customers and suppliers

- To grow DCS / supplier market share in the relevant customer and category

- To manage supplier investment and terms agreements whilst driving ROI

Key responsibilities of the National Account Manager role:

- To maintain a thorough customer understanding (KPIs, contacts, customer portfolio, shopper profile, strategy, pricing, promotions, category size, supply chain etc.)

- To understand and influence customer and supplier strategy within customer portfolio

- To track  customer-budgeted investment, effectively processing invoices and claims

- To work within supplier funding guidelines and manage promotional investment

- To implement individual customer National Promotional Plans in line with supplier guidelines

- To build Local Plans if required by the customers to drive local activation

- To influence both range and distribution, managing core range compliance and seasonal activities

- To implement and track customer-budgeted investment

- To effectively process and track invoices and claims

- To ensure rebates and accruals are set up

- To track and analyse EPOS / Salesout data

- To share competitor intelligence and provide customer insight with DCS colleagues

- To produce effective sales and numbers reports to be distributed internally and externally

- To build effective, professional, customer presentations

- To ensure all activities relating to medicines and medical devices are in accordance with Good Distribution Practice of medical products

Knowledge, skills and experience required by the National Account Manager:

- National Accounts experience essential

- Experience in at least two sectors desirable (FMCG / Wholesale / Discount / Cash & Carry / Professional)
