Job Title - Senior Project Manager

Salary - GBP60k - GBP70k + GBP5k car and Package

Client:

Our client, a leading national house-builder are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the team in their regeneration division to lead a 240 unit RC frame structure mixed-use project. As a Major Project for our client we're seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to be responsible for the overall design, procurement and construction delivery of the project. This is a vital role as a team leader overseeing these stages of the project, as well as post-construction phases for the infrastructure and main elements of commercial/retail build on the project. This would be an excellent opportunity for a highly technical, qualified Engineer with a strong Infrastructure background within the Construction/Residential building sector, or an individual with strong Major Projects experience from a Build/Production focused background.

The Role:

As a Senior Project Manager for our client, some of your duties will include:

  • Ensure that key objectives are achieved to the client's satisfaction
  • Provide leadership and consultancy on the construction/production team
  • Consult the project team with delivery of ongoing projects
  • Ensuring Safety Management Systems are in place along with the quality and environmental management systems
  • Arrange and chair internal pre-start/estimating handover meetings
  • Prepare internal and external progress reports
  • Arrange external pre-contract meetings with client and other key stakeholders
  • Establish safe and proper working practices and ensure their implementation

You will need:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the new homes development industry, having worked for a housebuilder
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction delivery and Project Management, focusing on Infrastructure design, procurement and delivery
  • Highly technical with strong design management experience
  • CIOB/ICE qualified
  • Able to manage multiple complex processes
  • Confident programming and planning a project in detail, form inception through to completion
  • Commercially aware and focused on delivering to targets
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Relationship buiilding skills both within the team and with wider organisations
  • Excellent problem solving and investigative skills
  • IT literate well versed in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Asta Power Project and MS Project
