A key appointment in the new structure is the Senior Development Manager (Residential) for West & Wales, based out of their Bristol office.

Job Description

As Senior Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in leading projects which support the Regional strategy and growth plans. You will have specific responsibility for driving business development activity to reflect agreed strategies from site acquisition through to completed development to reflect agreed strategies.

This specific role will be focused on managing the delivery of some high profile complex residential led mixed use communities, working in close partnership with the internal Construction Team and external consultant teams, whilst liaising with the landowning partners.

Working with our client's colleagues, consultant design teams and solicitors, strategic partners or liaising with other external bodies such as planning authorities, you will be expected to make a positive impact on these critical relationships and exemplify the high standards that our client strive to achieve.

Passionate about delivering excellence, you will manage a multi-disciplined project team whilst supporting the implementation of the Regional Strategy for acquisitions, project manage developments and disposals / transfers of land across to our client.

Important aspects of this role will be utilising your personal network to support the identification and securing of new development opportunities as well as working with internal and external communications teams, agents to market schemes and solicitors to successfully conclude transactional work. Other important elements of this role include managing submissions to the Investment Committee, supporting the valuations process, budgetary and cash-flow management, in partnership with Regional Finance.

The Successful Applicant

  • A proven track record in the delivery of Residential Land development opportunities and successfully negotiating and managing all aspects of the acquisition, project manage development, leasing and disposal process
  • Experience of leading large Residential Land projects
  • Experience of analysing commercial data to achieve the best outcome
  • An ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal & external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Experience of managing a multi-disciplined team
  • The ability to manage your professional network in order to maximise its' potential
  • Experience gained in a Residential Land sector preferably with a developer or agent
  • A relevant professional qualification (preferably RICS).
