Community Fundraiser

Community Fundraiser based at Derby and Etwall Live at Home Scheme Available Hours: Permanent - Full Time - 37 hours per week. MHA is a charity providing care and support to over 17,000 older people across the UK. Live at Home schemes are local community projects aimed at helping older people by helping to tackle isolation and to maintain their independence and wellbeing, by providing a variety of services and support. We also operate Care Homes and Retirement Communities. We rely on raising charitable funding to support our services. To help support our current work and to enable us to do more for more older people, we're looking for an experienced fundraiser with a track record in raising funds from a range of sources and who can work on their own initiative. As a Community Fundraiser you will be out and about in the local community, building relationships with supporters and local organisations. You will also be expected to promote and run various fundraising events as well as spending time in the office performing database and admin tasks as required. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to manage a varied workload and take ownership of income targets to ensure continuation of local services. You will be joining the charity at an exciting time, forming part of a newly established community fundraising team. You will be given a full induction as well as ongoing support from a well-established national fundraising team. Flexibility will be required in this role as you will be expected to occasionally attend events during evenings and weekends as well as l team meetings away from the office.
