Material Controller / Production Planner
6 month contract (rolling)
This market leading design, development and manufacturing organization in a stable and expanding market place are looking for a talented Material Controller / Production Planner to undertake a varied contract role in support of a mechanical / electro-mechanical product portfolio.
This contract Material Controller / Production Planner role is critical to ensuring that material is efficiently planned / scheduled for release to production to ensure on time delivery of customer orders.
Key accountabilities as Material Controller / Production Planner will include:
Ensure appropriate materials and consumables are available to complete the tasks ahead and ensure that stock levels and movements are accurately recorded.
Utilising both the MRP system alongside MS Excel to plan accurately for production
Monitor material availability and advise impact on delivery
Expediting any late orders
Organising kitting for shop built assemblies ensuring kits are in a suitable state for manufacture
The ideal candidate will have prior material control / production control / planning experience gained within a manufacturing environment. Good level of PC literacy, including MRP experience. Prior experience of MS Excel a must.
