Long established and extremely reputable commercial agent in Truro are seeking an experienced property management assistant with salary in the region of GBP20-25,000.
This key, niche position supports and assists the property management team comprising surveyors and facilities managers (FM) in the management of predominantly commercial property through the South West of England, providing both clients and tenants with an excellence in service delivery in accordance with our Property Management Agreements and good estate management practice.
The principal activities include supporting the team in all aspects of day to day property management, dealing with incoming tenant enquiries; liaising with FM and contractors over maintenance and repair matters; building security; Health & Safety, cleaning, landscaping, etc. and providing overall administrative assistance to this growing, professional and dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be fully IT literate, confident and competent especially in Word, Excel and Outlook such that you can send succinct, grammatically correct e-mails; type and print brief letters and create and use own spreadsheets, or modify others. You will be trained to work within "Tramps", the property management accounts and database software platform. You will also be an excellent communicator both orally and in the written form.
Some knowledge and understanding of accounting and accounting principles and general understanding of general Health & Safety principles in so far as it relates to property is desirable.
Also, knowledge and understanding of freehold/leasehold, business tenancies, and basic principles of property insurance preferred.
You would need a full driving licence and be able to visit managed properties for various activities which may include reading utility meters; testing fire alarm systems, etc.
Salary in the region of GBP20,000 but could be anywhere up to GBP25,000 for an experienced candidate with all the skill set.
