Traffic Management Operative

An exciting opportunity not to be missed! Our client is currently recruiting for a Traffic Management Operative to join their busy team based in Stockport! You will join them on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a highly competitive salary depending on experience!

Our client is a North West based civil engineering and highways contractor with over 70 years experience. Specialising predominately in long-term framework contracts with Local Councils and Transport Authorities they have a proven track record of delivering high quality schemes. Due to their reputation of working in a safe, cost effective and collaborative manner they are repeatedly invited to participate in early contractor involvement and value engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities of their Traffic Management Operative:

-­ Ensuring sites are safe

-­ Maintaining a tidy work areas with barriers, fencing and cones

­- Acting as vehicle banksman

­- Setting up, maintaining and removing temporary lights

­- Setting up, maintaining and removing lane closures

­- Any other duties requested by the Traffic Safety Manager or Site Foreman

Skills and Experience required by their Traffic Management Operative​:

­- Full UK Driving License

­- Good communication skills

­- CSCS and Street Works Cards

­- Lantra T1, T2, T3 and T5 Qualifications

­- Towing Experience (Desirable)

Working Hours: The Traffic Safety Officer will work 39 Hours per week - Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 16:00, Friday 07:00 to 15:00 -  (inclusive of unpaid breaks)

Holiday Entitlement: 29 days including bank holidays - 7 days are to be taken at the Christmas Shutdown
