IT Support Technician

Based: Cornwall

Reporting directly to the Office Manager, with a secondary reporting line to Acteon IT Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for providing IT maintenance and support for LDD and sister companies as required.

You will achieve targets and deadlines as derived and agreed from alignment of ICT with whole business strategy. Manage IT helpdesk function to ensure 24x7 end user support, and proactively maintain all systems and networks across all company sites.

Candidates will need to be calm under pressure, have a positive, friendly, can-do attitude and a good sense of humour. Commercial acumen and drive are imperative as is a willingness to be flexible.

Essential Skills and Experience

-Qualified or experienced to MCSA standard

-Experience in managing on-premise IT technologies and services. This entails:

          Active Directory, Backups, Exchange, Networks, Printing, Server hardware, Storage, Telephony, Virtualisation;

-Experience in administrating O365 products, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Azure AD, Skype for Business

-Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and able to manage incidents and requests within SLAs

-Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 7 & 10)

-Capable to lead on small/medium IT projects

-Passionate about delivering excellent customer service

-Keen attention to detail

-Excellent problem solving, analytical and verbal & written communication skills

-Self-starter and team player

-Excellent communication skills at all levels

-Dependable, flexible, and able to prioritise workload

Desirable Skills and Experience

-Knowledge of managing and maintaining Solidworks\EPDM

-Familiarity with IaaS platforms (Mimecast, Anti-virus)

-Exposure to ERP solutions (Microsoft Dynamics NAV)

-Knowledge of supporting Linux operating systems

Hours of work: 39.5 hours - 5 days per week.
Holiday entitlement: 25 Days per year plus statutory bank holidays.
