Architectural Technologist

This RIBA Chartered Practice is located in the heart of Saffron Walden, Essex, and is looking to recruit an Architectural Technologist to join a small enthusiastic team to work on, listed buildings, one off new houses, barn conversions, private residential extensions and small residential developments. We are looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist (CIAT members with at least 5 years appropriate experience) to produce construction drawings and production information. The position also offers the opportunity to influence and work on detail design during the preparation of tender packages and whilst projects are under construction on site.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following in relation to the type of projects the practice undertakes:

Thorough knowledge of the building regulations. Preparation of construction drawings, plans and documents for statutory approvals. Thorough grasp of construction methods and materials. Experience and understanding of the procurement of residential projects on site. Proficiency in AutoCAD and an ability to use SketchUp. Ability to keep abreast of changing technologies and standards. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and fluently in written and spoken English. Establish confident working relationships with clients and other consultants. An ability to produce hand drawing on occasions would be useful but not essential. The ability to drive and access to a car. Friendly working environment with good salary opportunities.
