The Access Project (TAP) is a ground-breaking charity that helps bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds win places at top universities. We recruit, train and support volunteer graduates to tutor a 14-18 year old for an hour a week to help raise their grades. And we work with the tutored young people in their schools to build their knowledge of universities and courses, arrange visits and speakers, and provide support and advice on applications and interviews And we are good at what we do. We were the first charity to be validated at Level 3 on Nesta's Standards of Evidence: this means we can demonstrate we have a direct impact on our young people's outcomes. As Director of the Partnerships Team you will be crucial to our success with responsibility for setting the strategy and leading delivery of the work that manages all our partnerships and secures all our funding from sources spanning high net worth individuals, universities, partner schools, grants, foundations, and businesses. Your team is a successful and growing one who have exceeded their income generation targets in each of the last two years. They also set up our partnerships with new schools and build and maintain ongoing relationships with businesses like KPMG, Linklaters and Barclays, who contribute both financially and by recruiting volunteer tutors for our students from amongst their staff. The team also manages our non-financial partnerships. If you are looking to step up into a bigger role both leading a team and sitting on the Executive with shared responsibility for the overall direction and running of the charity we'd love to hear from you. No CVs please.
