Senior Support Worker
Our client are a national charity providing creative support services across England to people who have a learning disability.
They provide a range of services including Supported Living, residential, and short breaks, and they lead the field nationally, in utilising new technology. They believe in the principle of 'every moment has potential' and incorporate this in the provision of all their services. Their support staff are at the forefront of this and on a day to day basis you will ensure that Support Worker colleagues deliver the highest standard of care.
Position: Senior Support Worker
Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours
Location: Surrey based in the Kingston area
Salary: GBP21,488 pa rising to GBP22,816 pa (dependent on probation and qualifications)
Benefits: 20 days holiday rising to 25 days after the first year (plus eight customary days), refer a friend scheme, pension, life assurance, staff awards, family friendly policies, free employee helpline
Closing date: Wednesday 28 February 2018
Interview / Assessment Centre day: Monday 5 & Tuesday 6 March 2018
About the role:
As Senior Support Worker you will be a role model to Support Workers to deliver great support and assist the Registered Cluster Manager to monitor, report and maintain agreed standards. You will be committed to ensuring the people they support have great lives.
This is an opportunity to develop and use your creative ideas and plan your career development.
About you:
You will need experience of implementing support plans and supervising staff and have the flexibility to work varied hours including evenings and weekends (with potential for on-call duties).
You will be given a comprehensive induction / development programme with support from your local manager and a Learning and Development Specialist.
