Category Manager - Estates

You will manage a category of frameworks and take responsibility for tender and contract management activities as well as engaging and influencing key stakeholders.

Client Details

The successful Category Manager, based in Leeds, will own, create, implement and manage category spend and develop contracting plans.

You will come from a Generalist procurement background and develop and manage effective procurement arrangements through strong stakeholder engagement.

You will demonstrate strategic sourcing and effective supplier management techniques.

Your approach will be proactive and professional approach and you will have a strong track record of influencing stakeholders at various levels.

Description

In addition, the desirable candidate will have:

• CIPS membership
• Strong knowledge of EU purchasing legislation
• Fully competent with all legal aspects of general Procurement
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management
• Accustomed to working with a variety of stakeholders
• Experience in contract management including drafting and negotiation

Profile

The successful Category Manager will have a strong track record in procurement and category management, with significant experience leading and managing category spend, including the creation of category strategies and sourcing plans.

In addition you will have the ability to lead call offs from collaborative agreements with the ability to work confidently with contract documents.

Job Offer

The Category Manager will receive a basic salary up to GBP42,000 plus an excellent benefits package including pension and excellent holiday entitlement
