This is an opportunity to join an award winning research and development company based in Loanhead on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Their unique energy saving Digital Displacement® hydraulic power technology has a wide range of applications in the renewable, transport and industrial sectors. They have close working relationships with some leading global companies to further develop their innovative systems and power transmissions.
They are a group company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries but at heart are a small friendly Scottish company with a passion for outstanding mechanical, electronic and software engineering. They are expanding and are now looking to recruit a company accountant to assist the FD across a range of activities.
The main duties are as follows:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Assistance with preparation of reporting packs for Board and parent company
- Preparation of grant claims and assistance with grant applications
- Assist with budgetary process
- Preparation and monitoring of cash flow forecast
- Assistance with a broad range of tax compliance
They require a qualified accountant, ideally with knowledge of IFRS and SAP. This is a great opportunity to acquire a broad range of experience and gain early responsibility. Although it is a full-time position, there may be scope for some flexibility on the number of hours worked.
