Our client is part of the Headlam group, the largest distributors of floor coverings in the UK. Based in Chelmsford, with service centres at strategic locations throughout the UK including Bristol, Southampton & Hull with their main warehouse in Leeds, they are fully equipped to meet the high demands of today's wholesale flooring market both on stock availability and excellent service standards with next day delivery to most areas.

Currently a vacancy exists for a Class C multi drop driver to join the distribution team. Candidates will ideally have a proven track record driving commercial vehicles and will need to demonstrate a good knowledge of legal compliance including both tachograph and working time management. Duties will include taking a variety of routes out across the South East of England including London, driving to a high standard, building relationships with customers, accurately and safely delivering customer orders or making collections.

Experience of handling flooring products would be a distinct advantage, although not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone who is physically fit due to the nature of the work, highly motivated, has a positive attitude and holds a current Class C Driving license, Driver Qualification Card (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.

Our client offers a full benefits package including a basic pay of £27k plus attendance and group profit share bonuses. All hours are Monday to Friday - no weekend, Bank Holiday or shift working - hours are managed to not exceed an average of 45 hours per week over a 26-week reference period. Four weeks paid holiday a year increasing to six with length of service plus bank holidays. A contributory pension scheme with up to 11% contribution paid by the Company depending on length of service, life assurance and all work wear will be provided.
