Non-Executive Member - Finance and New Business Committee

Midland Heart is one of the leading UK Housing Associations providing support to help people to live independently. We have a long history dating back to 1925 but have our gaze firmly fixed on the future.

We are ambitious and confident about our future with a plan to deliver 550 new homes in each of the next 5 years.

As we enter this new period of increased development, we are seeking an additional member for our Finance and New Business Committee with a strong background in residential Development for appointment to the Committee during Spring 2018.

Non-Executive Member - Finance and New Business Committee
Location: Bath Row, Birmingham
Salary: GBP2,250 per annum plus reasonable expenses
Hours: 6 meetings a year (2-2 ?? hours per meeting)

You will have an opportunity to play a critical role in our governance, helping to ensure that Midland Heart remains financially strong, so that we can deliver great homes and services for our customers.

As a member of the Finance and New Business Committee, you will contribute your experience, knowledge and insight to provide effective scrutiny and guidance to the Executive Team and the Board on matters relating to key development projects.

To strengthen the Committee's knowledge in this crucial area our ideal candidate will have senior management experience from a specialist Development background which involved significant exposure to the review and approval of large revenue and capital projects. Experience of the successful delivery of development projects so as to meet financial and timescale goals will be key to this role. A Knowledge of the Midlands property market, including land and new-build valuation would also be advantageous.
