Flood Modelling and Flood Risk Consultant

My client is a well renowned leading flood risk and flood modelling consultancy who are looking for a Hydraulic Modeller. With a large international presence alongside their growing UK business, they produce flood risk data, flood maps, risk maps, perils data and reports for the land and property sector, insurance companies, utilities and governments. Their highly specialised team are able to help with both rapid assessments and in-depth research that supports decision-making around flood risk.

Role & Company:

Owing to their continued success and growth, they have now got the opportunity to further expand their Flood Modelling team with a Flood Risk Consultant. You will become a key part of the existing consulting team; the successful candidate will have an enthusiasm to develop their career in the water/ environment sector.

Qualifications & Experience:

They are looking for someone that is hard-working, well-organised, motivated and enthusiastic. The right candidate will be given the opportunity work independently or as part of a team and can communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with colleagues and clients alike

To be successful in this role you will hold a Minimum degree(s) in geography, environmental management or engineering and have a good technical background with substantial and proven industry experience.

It is required that applicants have significant experience in several UK recognised flood modelling packages, such as ISIS, ISIS 2D, HEC-RAS, TuFLOW, Flood Modeller, INFOWORKS RS/CS/ICM, MIKE11/21, MicroDrainage WinDES. Applicants should be familiar with both 1D and 2D modelling methods and their application to a range of studies.
