Brook Street are recruiting on behalf of their client the Home Office based in the Govan area of Glasgow. We are recruiting for an Assistant Caseworker to work on a 12 month contract 5 days a week over various shift patterns.
Working Hours:
This post is subject to shift working; an early start will mean commencing work at 7 am until 4 pm. A late shift will mean you are expected to start work at 11 am until 8 pm. You will work 5 days a week, this will include some Saturdays, depending on the needs of the business. When a Saturday is worked though you will be given a day off in lieu during the week to compensate.

Job description:
Acknowledging customers promptly as they arrive at reception, confirm appointment details and registering them on our systems taking an average of 3 minutes per customer.
Assist with the customer journey as required: dealing with enquiries and taking customers to relevant areas within PSC, including assisting customers who are unable to use the stairs ( where applicable)
Regularly monitoring IT systems throughout the day to ensure cases are moving through the systems and there are no delays. Any issues to be raised immediately with the Operational Leads.
Inputting on G-cid an average of 5 case registrations per hour (pro rata as appropriate) in accordance with agreed network targets of 98% accuracy.
Check all necessary documents have been submitted and correct payments have been made.
Capturing/registering customer`s biometrics, including fingerprints and photos.
Carry out PNC checks and recording accurately
Photocopy and scan documentation as required and assist with the delivery of files and documents from one area to another.
Once cases are concluded, despatch decision promptly to the customer at the end of the process to 100% accuracy.
Represent Immigration and Visa Services positively by projecting a professional image to customers, colleagues and stakeholders to help maintain customer service excellence accreditation.
Ad-hoc tasks as required.
