An excellent opportunity has arisen working within a dynamic commercial business based in Chelmsford. Working closely with the HRBP you will develop an improve existing HR processes and deliver HR support to the business.
Main duties and responsibilities will include;
• Coordinate and monitor all the divisional HR queries ensuring an effective and timely service is provided to line managers.
• Working with the HR Business Partner to provide advice and assistance on policies, procedures and employment legislation; supporting line managers in the effective management of employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievances
• Review and work with line managers, to be accountable for the absence management policy within the division, creating, implementing and evolving the process to effectively manage absence
• Advise and assist line managers on cost effective recruitment and selection strategies, ensuring delivery in line with the divisional headcount budget requirements
• Align with the wider HR team and divisional teams to ensure effective coordination of the appointment/induction process for any new joiners
• Advise line managers on options in respect of employee development
• Assist with conducting job evaluations; benchmarking against internal and external roles/salaries
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
• Get involved in and take the lead of key HR projects
Skills, knowledge and experience required;
• Experience of working in a fast paced commercial HR role
• Strong HR generalist experience including a solid understanding of employment law
• Ability to use an HR information system
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Ability to identify development needs
• A commitment to providing good customer service
• Strong communication skills
• CIPD full or part qualified would be advantageous
