CREDIT CONTROLLER/RECONCILLOR 

Line Manager:   Head of Operations (PCSS)

Relationships:  Colleagues, Finance, Funders, ATE Providers and Solicitors

Purpose:

To ensure the smooth transfer of loan funds to appropriate disbursement providers. Also to ensure that the appropriate clients Proclaim are up dated with correct information.  To ensure that the funds are reconciled against the clients Proclaim and the correct amount of money is received.  To reconcile all financial information on Proclaim.  Liaise with Finance when necessary.  To ensure that all exception reports are dealt with and corrected.

Your main duties will include:

There should be a close liaison between the credit controller and case handlers/funding administrators regarding the financial transactions on each client case.

Ensure that the process of the receivable and payable balances is actioned and correct

Dealing with internal queries about payments from solicitors or disbursement providers

Ensure that monies received from the Funders are paid to the correct disbursement providers promptly.

Liaise with the funders when funds do not match what PCSS have requested

Meet cash & debtor day targets set by the Firm

Chase up funding requests when monies have not been received.  Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity

Regularly making contact with Funders to ensure all relevant clients loans are accurately managed as necessary

Respond promptly to an exception report to ensure that these are corrected.

Providing ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by management

Undertake account reconciliations as required

Ensure processing deadlines are met as required

Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Head of Operations or any other person designated in their absence
