Carer Wellbeing Support Worker-Hospital Service-2 Posts
Fixed term to 31 August 2018 (with the possibility of an extension)
FULL TIME POSITION (GBP21,597 for 37 Hours ) at East Surrey Hospital
PART TIME POSITION (GBP10,798 for 18.5 hours) at Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath
You will also provide Response Line cover from one of our offices where our team services are based.
Our Services
Our teams offer support to adults and young adults who are unpaid family and friend Carers. The charity has been accredited as an 'excellent' local provider of quality support for Carer wellbeing across the spectrum of information, advice, assessment and support with teams working collaboratively and through partnerships.
Your Role
Your role will be to raise carer awareness and to identify carers early. Providing on-site support and liaison across 7 days for carers of patients admitted directly to wards and via A&E in the acute hospitals and also provide some support for carers at local community hospitals.
You will work as a member of a county-wide team to achieve recognition for all carers, provide information and personal advice, support and advocacy for carers and work in partnership with local voluntary, health and social care services.
Key Skills and Experience
Essential qualities include understanding the issues carers face, excellent interpersonal skills, experience in a relevant work role and commitment to high quality service.
