Experienced Engineer to work on flexible part time basis for award winning engineering company in Leicester

The Role

You will work with Injection Mould tools and Reaction Injection Mould tools. The work is technically skilled and very interesting - every assignment is a unique challenge involving the development of moulding tools and production equipment in the service of high precision low volume production parts in PU materials.

Our award-winning client is a highly resourced prototyping and low volume manufacturing company offering multidisciplinary support to all sections of industry and academia. In the last two decades the company has supported blue-chip clients in Automotive, Aerospace, Scientific Equipment, and Medical Products with advanced engineering and prototyping or batch manufacturing.

The Person

You will be a hands-on engineer / experienced toolmaker. Experience in the use of tool room machining is a prerequisite and the use of pattern shop equipment and hand skills are also required. With a good understanding of a range of parameters in plastics moulding and the wider manufacturing processes, you will also have excellent communication skills and an eye for detail / quality.

You must be available to work for about 20 hours per week on a flexible basis.
