The Company is a small business with a growing team of HVAC Engineers covering a wide range of work including Air Conditioning installation and Maintenance, Heating and boiler repairs, servicing and Duct work cleaning. They have a competitive package waiting for a new Account Manager who will be responsible for developing their HVAC business with existing clients and who can manage the customer service team arranging schedules for pre-planned works and organising reactive and call out tasks. Knowledge of the HVAC industry will be essential.

The role will report to the HVAC Director and will largely be office based but will also include some client visits focusing on customer service and developing the business so a good working knowledge of HVAC installation and maintenance work will be key. In the office, the focus will be on supervising the small team who schedule work for the 5 HVAC Engineers ensuring that work is allocated appropriately, equipment and parts are available and to facilitate the engineering team to work as productively and efficiently as possible.

The ideal applicant therefore will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • At least 2-3 years in the HVAC industry in a supervisory customer service role
  • Experience of communicating with customers and internal engineering teams
  • Ability to lead the team and provide positive guidance, resources and support
  • Planning skills to utilise the engineering team efficiently
  • Microsoft Office and database skills to use their in-house software
  • Driving License
  • Clear DBS disclosure

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the provision of PPM and Reactive works to HVAC customers
  • To manage existing customer budgets and profitability
  • Forecast labour resources to ensure tasks can be completed within contractual agreements
  • Program/tailor customer contracts, providing advice and guidance to existing clients
