HR Advisor

This successful and well-known Swindon based organisation has recently won a successful tender to support a major contract in the area. As a result, the company's workforce will grow by a further 160-200 people (TUPE in) and the day to day demands on HR will increase considerably.

This additional role has been created to absorb the anticipated demand, whilst supporting with the forthcoming TUPE and change programmes required to accommodate the contract.

Reporting to the HR manager, the main purpose of this operationally focused role is to provide a proactive and comprehensive HR advisory service to all employees and managers of the new business, in a multi-site environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including all ER case management (discipline, grievance and absence management etc).
• Support line managers in their interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
• Advise, support, influence and where appropriate challenge managers on operational decisions.
• Analyse and provide HR management information and analysis as requested.
• Attending case hearings, meetings and project workgroups at all sites.
• Undertake any HR projects as requested (Restructure, TUPE, redundancy and organisational change).

The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified with strong all-round generalist experience, gained in a similarly demanding, fast paced, change environment. Ideally coupled with experience of working in a unionised environment.

You will be able to multi task and prioritise conflicting demands, remain calm under pressure, maintain effective relationships with senior staff, be IT literate, with excellent communication skills and be flexible and proactive in your approach.
