Midland Heart has an exciting opportunity for an M&E Electrical and Fire Support Surveyor to join our team responsible for delivering M&E compliance, repairs and new installations across our leading housing association’s assets.

M&E Electrical Surveyor and Fire Support Surveyor
Location: Bath Row, Birmingham
Salary: £33,746 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week

Working with our Asset Management Team and reporting to the M&E Team, your responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

  • Delivery of Midland Heart’s Statutory Compliance responsibilities in respect of Electrical and Fire equipment and installation  
  • Co-ordinate and deliver Midland Heart’s fire, emergency lighting, fire precaution, electrical storage heating repairs and electric rewire installation
  • Assist in the development of medium & long-term investment programmes with a customer first outlook and driving for a continuous improvement.

We’re seeking a suitably qualified individual (Degree/HND HND/Degree level or equivalent in a related discipline) who can demonstrate an excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, regulations and codes of practice relating to statutory compliance and good practice. As a single point of contact for all internal and external customers in respect of all Electrical, Fire and life safety system related matters, it is essential that you have the ability establish strong relationships with the relevant staff within our Assets and other directorates, as well as contractors.
