PROCESS ENGINEER

NORWICH

£excellent (DOE) + bonus

Hours – Mon – Thu 07:45 – 4:45, Fri 12:30

We are looking for an Electronic Process Engineer, or perhaps a Mechanical Engineer with an electronic bias, to join a company at time when they are poised for growth. The Process Engineer's responsibilities will include developing, configuring and optimizing industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification. You will take pride in continually improving current processes and procedures for existing parts.

KEY PROCESS ENGINEER'S RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To continuously improve the quality of the manufacturing process
  • To develop new and existing process documentation for use within production areas
  • To specify, order, inspect and tune all process tooling
  • Supporting the production areas on daily process issues
  • To measure, evaluate and establish part quality against the set criteria
  • To measure, evaluate and establish process capability and overall performance
  • To train team leaders and supervisors in new manufacturing processes
  • To investigate subsequent production problems and make process modifications as appropriate
  • Liaise with other team members and support quality, production and sales with engineering support issues
  • Provide process engineering support to the organisation

PROCESS ENGINEER PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and
  • Experience working in a “clean room” environment desirable
  • 1-2 years electronics industry experience, (semiconductors an advantage)
  • Suitable recognised qualification, degree, HND, HNC or similar recognised qualification
  • Ability to work on own initiative both alone and as part of a team
  • Self motivated & pro-active
  • Logical problem solver
  • Previous experience of producing documentation for a manufacturing environment would be advantageous

You may currently be working as a Manufacturing Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and have transferable skills.
