As established Voice, VOIP and IT & Data convergence solutions company, who pride themselves on providing customer support and having strong customer retentions, are currently seeking an additional Gamma Horizon Engineer to join their team. 

The role of the Gamma Horizon Engineer is to provide telecoms support/ installation to clients both onsite and from the office based in Hitchin.

The Gamma Horizon Engineer position is a mixed and varied role and the successful candidate will be part of a team that rely on one and other, and therefore, having a can-do attitude is essential.

The successful Gamma Horizon Engineer will eventually become competent in the installation and support of all of the company's products both on site and from the office.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Providing support on various platforms including Gamma Horizon, Avaya IP office, Splicecom and Mitel
• Provide support on connectivity including PSTN, ISDN, SIP, ADSL, FTTC and Leased Lines
• Replying to Customer tickets by email and phone
• Onsite installation and troubleshooting

Must have:

       •   Good knowledge of Gamma Horizon and associated applications

Ideally you need to have:

• Good understanding of networks, WAN, LAN, switching, routing security and SIP trunks
• Experience of Fixed line and Cloud Telephony services
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and email
• A good telephone manner is essential
• Excellent IT skills
• Good organisational skills
• The ability to prioritise the most urgent or time sensitive
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Possess a meticulous eye for detail
• Perform other related duties as required

Job details: 

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: £15,000.00 to £25,000.00 /year depending on experience.

Required education:

• Secondary education

Required qualification / experience:

• Telecommunications or IT: 1 year
• Good general system skills, Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook etc.
