Fitter/Machinist
Location: Crewe Diesel Depot
LNWR Heritage are currently looking to recruit a Fitter/Machinist to join our Steam Locomotive Mechanical Department.
Experience in the Railway Industry will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Overhaul of locomotives to a high standard and to deadlines
- Machining parts to a high standard and within set tolerances
- Ensure all work carried out complies with the company’s safety management system document and applicable statutory legislation regarding the workplace
- Undertake any other task that may reasonably fall within the remit of a Fitter/Machinist
Key Skills
- Competent in the use of machine centres and hand tools
- Welding
- Gas cutting
- Adept at machining components and fitting same to locomotives
Full time Monday to Friday 37 ½ hours
Salary dependant on experience
