Teacher required for an independent co-educational day school within a CAMHS service for young people aged 11 to 18 with mental health problems.
It is the school's intention that every student develops their courage, determination and skills as a learner, so they can re-engage confidently with their education on discharge. They liaise with mainstream schools and colleges and each young person has an individualised curriculum plan in each subject area, with progress being closely monitored. The school offers a broad based academic and enrichment curriculum, with specialist teaching spaces, teaching technologies and substantial grounds around the buildings.
We are looking for a Qualified Teacher with a specialism in Science and able to support learners up to A level. The successful candidate will have responsibility for curriculum development in their areas of strength (Science) as well as the pastoral care of a small tutor group supported by the Senior Teacher and Head of School in a Named Teacher Role.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates from mainstream or specialist education or community provision who are looking to move into a hospital specialist setting.
