Our client is one of the market leaders in their industry; their core business is the hire of specialist welfare units/vehicles and powered access equipment which they hire in to markets such as Civil Engineering, Utilities, Construction and Local Authorities. The group have been successfully trading for over ten years now and believe their continued success is largely due to their team of industry specialists, their knowledge of the sectors they supply in to and the ability to understand and deliver what their customers require, time and time again, without fail. The company can also boast rapid growth over the last couple of years and are moving in to new, state of the art premises; they fully intend to continue that growth, which in turn may present opportunities for career advancement for the successful candidate.
Purpose of the Role:
To work as part of the Hire Desk Team, liaising with prospects and existing customers via both telephone and e-mail to ensure their enquiries receive prompt action and are followed up to generate a sale. This role would be suited to someone that enjoys talking to people over the phone and building relationships as well as developing business, and being an influential part in company growth.
Job Responsibilities:
• Taking calls from new or existing customers
• Creating quotations for new or increased business
• Following up on quotes given
• Following up warm leads and enquiries made via email and phone
• Doing as much as possible to increase customer spend and loyalty at all times
• Inputting customer data onto the hire system
• Liaising with the sales team and working with them on projects
• Keeping in contact with existing customers to ensure their needs are met proactively
Requirements to fulfil the role:
• Strong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel). Training will be given on our Hire Software System
• Proactive approach to managing sales enquiries
• Happy and confident to make outgoing calls to follow up on quotes given
• Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure
• Good communication, both written and verbal
• Customer service and administration focused
• Be a team player with an efficient and proactive approach to work
• Be of a friendly and personable disposition
• Own Transport
Additional Information:
• Hours: Mon-Fri 8.00am to 5.00pm - There can be slight flexibility on start time to suit individual needs - 1 hour lunch
• Holiday: 20 days per annum
