I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client based in Northwich for an Accounts Assistant to join the team on a temporary to permanent/permanent basis. Ideally you will be studying for your AAT qualification and be looking to progress. Full study support will be offered for AAT and once completed CIMA / ACCA study support can be offered.
The Role:
Include but not confined to:
- Preparing supplier invoices on Excel
- Preparing sales ledger invoices
- Coding POs raised correctly
- Cash book - update and post into SAGE - both payments and receipts in multi currencies
- Analysing credit card spend & enter in SAGE
- Assisting with purchase ledger when needed
- Creating monthly payment list for purchase ledger
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Various reports using Excel including monthly management reports
- Managing workload and monitoring Outlook Inbox
- Uploading purchase ledger invoices from bespoke system onto SAGE ensuring that SAGE is reconciled each time
- Assisting credit control team with any reports when needed

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
- AAT Level 3 minimum qualification
- Excellent knowledge of Excel including: V lookup, Pivot Tables & formulas
- Experience in Sage Line 50
- Confidence in handling and manipulating large amounts of data in Excel
- The attitude and ability to meet challenging deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- An enthusiastic, positive and 'can do' approach
- Excellent communication skills
- PC Literate including: Excel, Word, Outlook & Internet Explorer
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
- Ability to prioritise work load effectively
