If you are a passionate and enthusiastic Economics and Business teacher with a minimum of two years' post qualification experience then this post in a Birmingham school could be a fantastic opportunity.

My client is an 11-18 mixed secondary school offering fantastic career opportunities, state of the art facilities and spacious rural grounds. They are looking to appoint a Business and Economics Teacher to a for a full time, permanent position to start this September (2018)

Business Studies and Economics are part of the very successful Humanities Faculty at this school, with economics often a very desirable A Level with the school's pupils. If you have experience of teaching Business Studies and Economics to the full age range and are highly motivated, enthusiastic and ambitious with drive and energy this school would like to hear from you.

Pupils at the school come from predominately white backgrounds and with ability levels above the national average. Pupils, parents and the senior leadership team have very high expectations of achievement and exam success throughout the school, the humanities faculty is no exception. You will need excellent subject knowledge and enjoy the challenge of stretching yourself and your charges on an intellectual level.

The school has an excellent senior leadership team which is settled and extremely supportive of all the schools teaching staff. If you are an NQT the school has an exceptional induction programme giving you maximum support at the start of your teaching career.

This traditional Secondary School has excellent facilities ensuring pupils learn in a positive learning environment! The Key Stage 5 classes, where you will be doing much of your teaching, are bright, intelligent and focussed on the subjects they have chosen to carry on to A level. As a Business & Economics Teacher you will be expected to have excellent subject knowledge on both these subjects and be comfortable with challenging the Key Stage 5 pupils with creative planning and assessment techniques.

If you have the motivation and desire to succeed as a teacher in this Birmingham school and would like to reap the rewards in terms of pupil progress then please email a copy of your CV to Patrick at Edustaff today
