Warehouse Supervisor/Manager

A well established and expanding e-commerce retailer in the Northwest is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to join its busy Warehouse team in Middleton, Manchester. Working for what is one of the UK’s leading natural stone and porcelain tile retailers, the successful Warehouse Supervisor/Manager will earn £22,000 to £25,000 dependent on experience.

As a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager you will be a welcome member of the companies Warehouse Team and your main responsibilities will include:

• To ensure the companies systems, procedures & standards are being adhered to by the warehouse team.
• Keep the warehouse team motivated and to ensure everyone is working to their best ability.
• Organise resources as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the Warehouse
• Working closely with the stock controller, you will plan and organize goods in and arrange the putting away of stock as required.
• Plan, organise and prioritise picking of customers’ orders & associated dispatch operations
• Ensure all members of the team comply with the company’s Health & Safety policies and any other policies and procedures in place
• Complete a daily H&S report and communicate findings back to senior management.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and arrange service/maintenance as required.
• Any other duties assigned by the management

 The successful Warehouse Supervisor/Manager will understand what it takes to lead and manage a team and to keep a busy working warehouse environment running smoothly. In addition, you should possess the following skills and experience:

• The will and the ability to supervise a small warehouse team
• Capable of working as part of that team with good leadership qualities
• Good communication skills - both written and verbal
• Flexible and willing to go the extra mile. 
• Previous FLT experience
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• IT proficient.
