The role is a Residential Support Worker position within a 4 bed residential home for males and females aged 5-18 years old, with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties with associated learning disabilities.

You will help young people get the most out of life and develop skills for adulthood, including improving self-esteem, social skills and life skills. You will be a key member of the team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to the young people.

Duties will include:

  • Taking a creative and caring approach to build good relationships with the young people, their families, and other stakeholders
  • Providing a safe and secure environment to meet all physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs of the young people
  • Support with specialist education
  • Supporting young people in the planning of goals and aspirations
  • Teaching life skills
  • Personal care
  • Support and participation in activities

To apply for this role you should have prior experience working with children or adults with learning disabilities and/or challenging behaviour. You should have, be working towards, or be willing to complete a QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce.
Drivers and/or applicants with their own transport are preferred.

In return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £20,007 per annum after probation, with potential to increase further up to £21,598 per annum within 6 - 12 months. This role may be offered at 37 or 45 hours per week.
