We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children`s Support Worker to join the Night team at an excellent residential education service in Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

The service provides care, support, therapy and education for children and young people aged 5 - 19 with autism, learning disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviours. You will be working in one of two houses, one catering for 10 children and the other for 4 children, both on the school site.

As Waking Night Support Worker, your role will be to maintain the children`s welfare, wellbeing and safety throughout the night, and ensuring the smooth running and upkeep of the home.

You will act as a good role model for young people, provide firm and consistent boundaries, and above all enable young people to feel safe and secure in their environment.

This is a full time role of 37 hours per week. You will work to a 4 shift on, 4 shift off rolling shift pattern, with shifts running from 10pm - 8am.

Starting salary is £16,823 per annum, and benefits include:

To apply for this role you should have at least 1 year`s experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviour, or in a residential setting. You will be supported to complete the relevant qualifications in this role, however an NVQ or QCF in Children and Young People`s Workforce or similar would be a distinct advantage.

You must be a driver and have held your licence for at least 3 years, and have no more than 6 points.
