You will be joining a family run organisation with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding person-centred support. You will be part of a specialist team of staff supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health diagnoses, complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Duties will include:
" Support with day to day tasks such as personal care, cooking, cleaning, shopping
" Support to choose, access and participate in preferred activities and holidays
" Support to access local community, day centre, and health services
" Support to develop skills, friendships and external support networks, and to maintain family and personal relationships
" Using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to minimise and manage challenging behaviour
" Promoting independence through tailored support plans
After your probation you will start to take on additional responsibilities such as keyworking, and particular elements of running the home, to ensure your continued development in your role. As your responsibilities increase, as will your salary.
To apply for this role you will need:
" Experience in learning disabilities or complex needs services, and ideally experienced with challenging behaviours. Training in PBS/PBM/MAPA would be highly desirable
" A full UK driving license - although your own vehicle is not essential as you will have access to a company vehicle.
This is a full time permanent role, working 3 x long shifts per week (7am - 9pm), with an average of one sleep per week (optional).
Pay rates for this role range from £7 - £8 per hour, increasing to £8 per hour after probation/keyworking status. Sleep ins are paid at £80 per sleep.
