Supply Chain Manager

We have a new opportunity at The Dental Directory for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team based in Witham, Essex. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary plus excellent benefits.

As our Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible in supporting and delivering Supply chain elements of the business strategy including product forecasting, ordering, and meeting the product availability and stock holding targets. You will deputise for the Procurement Manager as and when required, in addition you will also manage and support the Supply Chain Team which includes 5 Supply Chain Planners.

Key Responsibilities of our Supply Chain Manager:

- Deliver range and product launches to meet the agreed business timelines.

- Manage the ordering parameters through MOQ’s, lead times, order frequency, safety stocks in order to optimise stock availability and OTIF.

- Ensure suppliers receive and send order confirmations.

- Focus on managing the reduction of back orders, and to ensure any back order reports are updated with delivery dates.

- To work with and support the inventory Manager to reduce over stocks and dead stock issues.

- Manage on going supply and seize opportunities as they arise to address issues which effect availability.

- Track and manage supplier performance through regular reviews and take action where necessary if the supplier fails to hit the outlined KPI’s and SLA targets.

- Working collaboratively and cross functionally across the wider business to improve operational performance.

- Strategically working alongside the warehouse and logistics team to deliver a more efficient supply chain and logistics process and solution aiming to drive an overall saving to the business.

- Working collaboratively, strategically and cross functionally with pricing and analytics team, IT, finance, logistics and goods in, Operations, Strategic Procurement Managers and Finance.

Essential Skills we’re looking for in our Supply Chain Manager:

- Experience/understanding of supply chain management and logistics.

- Strong project management background

- Strong analytical and commercial acumen including forecasting experience and calculating supplier product intake plans.

- Experience in working cross functionally.

- Advanced Excel.

- Strong relationship management and influencing skills.

- Strong commercial acumen.

- Drive for continuous improvement.
