About the role…

Joining them as an Oncology Pharmacist, you will support the operation of the registered pharmacies including the supply of oncology medical products in a professional, effective and economic way.

Carrying out clinical screening of all prescriptions on EDocs, you must ensure appropriateness of therapeutic indication, dose, frequency, form and route of administration in accordance with the relevant guidelines and provide patient counselling and advice by telephone and email. You will approve prescriptions for IV and Oral Oncology medications to be dispensed by our client or Bath Aseptic Unit and oversee and provide final checks on the dispensing and supply of medicinal products in compliance with the requirement of the Medicines, Ethics and Practice Guide.

About you…

This role demands an individual who has a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills and who can work in a structured and organised manner. They’d like you to have an Undergraduate Degree in Pharmacy, a postgraduate qualification in Oncology and be registered with the GPhC. Able to work effectively as part of a team, you will have proven experience of working as a Pharmacist in a community of hospital environment and ideally have experience working as an Oncology Pharmacist.

Those who are BOPA (British Oncology Pharmacy Association) accredited will be of distinct advantage.
