This position is responsible for helping the Operations Manager develop the business for growth through the:
*overall effective supervision of multiple manufacturing cells.
*leading manufacturing teams to achieve employee's safety goals, product quality, production schedule, and labour productivity goals.
*Interfacing with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements.
*Motivating personnel to create high performance culture through identifying training needs.

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY
Responsible for undertaking Risk Assessments in area
Address HSE issues (PPE/COSHH, Environmental)
Adhere to regulatory standards (ISO14001, ISO9001, ISO29001)
Maintain high 5S standards of housekeeping at all times
Ensure H&S Data Sheets are available, understood by team and completed on time
Ensure all training on risks has been completed before tasks are allocated within the team
Responsible for ensuring all "Start Up" and "Shut Down" procedures are adhered to
QUALITY
Active participant in local quality meetings
Responsible for quality measures of local team (i.e. RFT, DPPM)
Ensure conformance to manufacturing process/standard operation
Responsible for ensuring local team is trained in Quality processes
Responsible for ensuring that team members do not use any measuring equipment that is outside of calibration dates
Good understanding of AS9100
Ensure that all scrap or rework is reported correctly and acted upon
Help facilitate the identification of root cause of process/product failure and assist with the facilitation of problem resolution
Ensure safe storage of work on/off the area
Champion Self Inspection for area
PRODUCTIVITY/DELIVERY
Monitors and assesses performance indicators and takes appropriate actions to ensure product quality, production schedule and labour productivity goals are met with feedback to senior management
Assesses performance indicators, and takes appropriate actions, to ensure goals are met
Help identify and drive productivity improvements
Effective utilisation of resource
Periodic "Hands On" work as required
Liaise with internal customers and support functions
In the event of equipment failures, responsible for ensuring timely reporting of problems as well as chasing through to resolution where other parties are involved
Agree and communicate Cell Metrics through SQDE and other relevant goals
Ensure all operators work to scanning process
COST
Support to continually improve methods/processes
Ensure accuracy of cost data (i.e. work with Process Engineering to ensure that routings are correct)
Liaise with other Manufacturing Controllers and Key Operators - sharing of best practise
Support Machine utilisation where applicable
Control of overtime
Stock control (Consumables)
Identify tools and equipment requirements for area

Experienced in AS9100 quality systems
