Technical CAD Assistant

This small family run company based in the Chesham area are looking for a Technical Design Assistant to support the team in their very busy office and workshop.

You will be supporting the Technical Design Manager in all aspects of CAD drawings, CNC programming, and design concepts of doors and other components.

Our client is happy to consider candidates with little work history, as long as your portfolio stands up to the scrutiny, further development is offered for the right candidate.

You will need be a creative thinker, with a strong visual sense, and have the confidence to present and explain ideas to both clients and colleagues.

You will also have clear communication skills, both visually and verbally. You will be able to produce documents clearly, accurately and efficiently and have good attention to detail. You will also need the ability to be able to balance you workload as you will be working on several projects at any one time.

Ideally you will be proficient in AutoCAD, have a background with Solidworks or other 3D software, knowledge of Adobe CS especially working with inDesign, photoshop and illustrator.

Understanding of manufacturing techniques including timber production, or a background in the construction industry or similar would be an advantage, but not essential.

A salary of between £17,000 - £18,000 is on offer for the right candidate.
