Chemical Manufacturing Operator – Norwich - £30,000 - £38,000 + Excellent benefits
Working on behalf of a leading chemical company, we are seeking applicants for a new position within their chemical manufacturing team. You will have worked in a process manufacturing industry, (not necessarily chemical manufacturing) and be able to demonstrate an ability to learn new skills.
The role of Chemical Manufacturing Operator involves a wide range of tasks that include:
- Chemical plant manufacturing operations, including monitoring and control of operations in both manual and computerised systems.
- Liaison and teamwork with other team members to achieve the schedule of work.
- Product quality testing.
- Reporting problems to relevant parties and contributing diagnosis and/or solutions.
The production schedule is extremely demanding offering both physical and mental challenges. Preference will be given to applicants who are able to demonstrate the following skills
- • Relevant experience in a similar process industry. Chemical background would be preferable.
- • A thorough understanding of Health and Safety practices
- • A methodical and organised approach to work
- • PC literacy
- • City & Guilds and NVQ (QCF) qualifications in Processing Industries Operations.
- • A good level of physical fitness
Additional Information
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to work as they will be required to work a 12hr/day continuous shift system, be members of the site Fire Crew and Emergency Response team and be committed to achieving high work standards
Relevant training will be provided for the successful candidates, this will require significant work-based training and home study to achieve competence as an operator.
