CLINICAL UNIT, CAMBRIDGE - WORKING WITH A MAJOR PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY
TECHNICAL COORDINATOR – FULL TIME HOURS
Resolving technical issues with equipment being used on clinical studies. Engage with vendors via email/phone to resolve these issues or arrange vendor visits. Ordering consumables (30%), and study specific/capital equipment. Project management for changes to a range of equipment within the Unit, including risk management/change controls. Leading discussions between the Unit and vendors, arranging for removal/decommissioning of old equipment. Confirming commissioning of new equipment and assisting in any equipment validation e.g. bedside cardiac monitoring system, pager system, ECG carts.
Manage projects requiring bespoke equipment, understanding project team’s requirements, arranging production/acquiring parts to build equipment, validation, data creation/handling, writing risk documentation and liaising with other users. Managing equipment servicing/maintenance. Engaging with company partners to ensure correct infrastructure is available for equipment if necessary. Arranging loan of equipment to external partners and liaising with various internal groups where appropriate.
