We are looking for a Crane Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to join one of the regions leading maintainers of overhead cranes and hoists.
The successful candidate will join an existing field service team, who are involved in the repair, maintenance and modernisation projects on various types of lifting equipment primarily Overhead Travelling cranes, Hoists and Swing Jibs. All Our Field Engineers will use an I Phone to complete our In-House designed inspection software.
At ACDC Cranes we expect our staff to attend regular training courses which include LEEA Diploma to enable our engineers achieve there best and keep up to date with modern technology.
Main Duties and responsibilities
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance inspections (PPM) including LOLER inspections
• To attend Emergency Breakdowns
• Refurbishment / Modernisation of Cranes, Hoists and Various Lifting Equipment
• Crane installations
Candidate Expectations
• Apprentice-trained or equivalent and fully conversant with mechanical / electrical engineering disciplines to City and Guilds or equivalent (essential electrical bias)
• LEEA Diploma's
• Full UK driving licence
• Expected to undertake overtime and working weekend as required
• The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, as there is extensive customer contact and will be safety conscious
• Physically fit and able to work at heights
• Self-motivated, prepared to work some unsociable hours as new projects arise
A competitive basic salary, plus overtime after the basic 40 hours. A company vehicle and mobile phone will be provided
