Sous Chef - Gastro pub - 30k plus tips and benefits

Our client is a stunning gastro pub based in Godalming. As well as freshly prepared, locally sourced food there is a buzzy atmosphere, plenty of cask ales, and a great wine selection.

They are looking for a Sous Chef with a passion for quality fresh food to assist in heading up the kitchen. The company has a true family feel and as Sous Chef you will have a great deal of autonomy in assisting the Head Chef to run the business.

The ideal Sous Chef will have:

  • Skills, vision and personality to lead and motivate a brigade of chefs
  • Drive standards, quality and consistency
  • Design and develop fresh food menus and arrange 6-weekly menu tastings
  • Embrace and drive our food culture
  • Prepare fresh food dishes
  • Be financially accountable - e.g. stock control, ordering, manage and review GPs and wage percentages
  • Support and be actively involved in the continued development of your team
  • Meeting food safety and cleaning standards
