TUTOR, CATERING
Grade MS1: MS2: MS3: MS4, SCP 1 – SCP 20
£19,446 – £29,117 pro rata, per annum
24 hours per week (Mon,Tues,Weds), 37 weeks per year
We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and professional tutor to deliver high quality catering tuition to groups of students of mixed abilities whilst preparing meals for staff and students.
Applicants must have experience of working with learners with learning difficulties and/ or learning disabilities and have experience of teaching / training catering.
Applicants for tutoring posts must hold a teaching qualification with QTS status or be working towards a relevant teaching qualification eg. PGCE or relevant Certificate in Education is essential.
Main Duties
- To plan and deliver catering sessions to a small group of students according to their individual learning needs and requirements whilst preparing food for staff and students at the college site.
- To embed communication, word and number into all catering sessions with students.
- To be a part of ongoing assessment of students learning needs and to make reasonable adjustments as required minimising barriers to learning and achievement.
- The post holder will be expected to deliver high quality practical skills, teaching and training to students within the agreed Quality Assurance framework of the Trust.
- To be responsible for delivering teaching and training with a therapeutic and supportive approach, wherever possible linking students learning activities into processes that the Trust refer to as Practical Skills Therapeutic Education.
