We are looking for an experienced Accountant for our well established BUT rapidly expanding client based in Dorset with a main office in Poole.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the production of management accounts, financial reports and analyses for a multiple branches. You will also be required to take responsibility for monitoring budget performance and providing professional advice to senior Managers on financial aspects of the business to assist in achieving high profitability.
Responsibilities:
* Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and balance sheets
* Monitor the financial performance of each department within your area,
* Advise the senior Managers of variances and produce detailed analyses when required
* Assist in ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and up to date
* Report and distribute weekly debt report
* Prepare annual business plans in conjunction with Branch and Finance Managers
* Liaise with auditors and other statutory representatives when necessary
You will need to possess:
* Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager in large organization, ideally across multiple branches
* Excellent understanding of accounting processes
* Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
* The ability to prioritise workloads in an efficient and effective manner
* Exceptional numeracy, database and advanced Excel spread sheet skills
* Excellent communication skills on all levels
* Degree or relevant qualifications in Accounting or Finance
