Maintenance Technician

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join the team based in Warwick on a full time, 3 month cover contract basis. You will receive a competitive salary of £9.27 per hour.

As our Maintenance Technician the main purpose of your role will be to maintain the physical structure of the hotel and internal plant equipment, fixtures and fittings

The Maintenance Technician duties and key responsibilities:

- Manages and monitors all utilities, plant and equipment to ensure all working and operating in a cost effective manner.

- Acts on the maintenance requests from other members of the team in an efficient manner. Prioritising guest defects. Provides positive constructive feed back to the RPM on matter arising of a technical nature.

- Ensures the execution of the hotel’s preventative maintenance programme – Holicare (room maintenance minimum requirement 30 rooms per month) and MQSA and arrange and reactive call out procedures. To retain an up to date contractor emergency contact list.

- Maintains high standards of product quality for all areas of the hotel as outlined in the Holiday Inn Express or Ramada Standards Manual and reports deficiencies to the General Manager.

- Ensure all legal statutory Fire safety tests are documented within the files provided by Atlas Hotels.

- Ensures monthly monitoring of the hotel hot & cold water systems and relevant documentation.

- Ensures that Health & Safety standards in the hotel comply with legal legislation and company policy. Attends hotels Health & Safety review meetings.

- Assists Atlas Hotels Property Manager during property visits and any annual-budgeted planned/capital refurbishment programs

- Any other duties that may be requested by the management

Our ideal Maintenance Technician will have the below skills, attributes  and experience:

- Three years experience in building maintenance

- Familiar with planned maintenance systems of work

- Specialised technical crafts, electrical, plumbing etc

- Organised and systematic, analytical

- Concern for quality of product and service

- Excellent communication skills.

- Available to attend the hotels property out of hours for  emergencies on the request of the hotel manager/duty manager only

- Available to attend maintenance training courses on request Attend Atlas Hotels regional maintenance meetings at least once per annum
